You do not need any special skill set to use this vinyl. It is easy to use & weed providing the cut settings are correct -**Always Always Always do a test cut on any vinyl to ensure no disappointment & wastage – follow the instructions on your machine to do this**
Like all of Knight HTV’s heat transfers, the Opals are primarily for use on cotton & polyester, however can be used on other products so long as it can withstand the heat & pressure requirements (like wood, leather, metal etc). You may need to adjust your heat, time and/or pressure for use with other materials like neoprene, wood etc
If you are just starting out, or just want to see what all of the fuss is about, you can use an iron instead of a heat press. You can even use scissors or a scalpel instead of a cutter- just remember to cut your design in mirror image! All you really need is some HTV, scissors, and iron and your imagination!
Please Note: If purchasing multiple metres of one colour, the length will be a FULL 2, 3, 4 metres etc, not cut separately, unless there is limited stock/unforeseeable circumstances. The benefit to having full rolls is to reduce wastage for customers through having less off-cuts, and also it makes it easier when using wide format cutters. If you would prefer the meters cut to each metre (if sharing an order with a friend to save on postage, for example) then please write this in the “Note” section at the Checkout 🙂
